New Launch Schedule of the Space Shuttle Discovery with Astronaut Noguchi Onboard [STS-114 / International Space Station Assembly Resumption Mission (LF-1)]

At around 2:30 p.m. on July 14 (Eastern Daylight Time, EDT), or 3:30 a.m. July 15, Japan Standard Time (JST), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced the new schedule for the launch of the Space Shuttle Discovery (STS-114 / International Space Station Assembly Resumption Mission (LF-1)) at the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida, U.S.A.
The following is the new official launch schedule announced by NASA.

The earliest possible attempt will be no earlier than July 17 (EDT) or July 18 (JST).


NASA revealed that this launch schedule change was because further investigation is necessary for an anomaly found in the liquid fuel tank sensor system during countdown operations.
