Landing of the Space Shuttle Discovery with Astronaut Noguchi Onboard [STS-114 / International Space Station Assembly Resumption Mission (LF-1)]

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) advised that the Space Shuttle Discovery with Astronaut Noguchi of JAXA onboard (STS-114 / International Space Station Assembly Resumption Mission, LF-1) successfully landed at 8:11 a.m. on August 9 (Eastern Daylight Time, EDT), or 9:11 p.m., Japan Standard Time (JST), on the same day at the substitute landing site* of Edwards Air Force Base in California, U.S.A., to complete its mission in 13 days, 21 hours and 32 minutes.

* The change was due to bad weather at the originally scheduled landing site at the NASA Kennedy Space Center.
