The Third Firing Test for the First Stage Engine of the H-IIA Ground Test Vehicle was conducted

The National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA) conducted the third firing test for the first stage engine of the H-IIA (Standard Type) Ground Test Vehicle (GTV-1) at the H-II Launch Complex, Tanegashima Space Center, Kagoshima at 5:00 p.m. (JST) on Wednesday, July 5, 2000. The test data were successfully acquired as planned except the slight flame around the engine after the engine shut-down. It was extinguished subsequently. The burning period was 100 seconds and firing pressure was 12.2Mpa.

The forth firing test will be conducted after the post-test inspection and data evaluation for the third test.
