Additional New Theme for Innovative Satellite Technology Demonstration-3

January 22, 2021 (JST)

National Research & Development Agency
Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) is promoting “Innovative Satellite Technology Demonstration Program”, in which small satellites are used to perform orbital demonstrations of new key components and technologies in a timely and affordable manner. This program is part of JAXA’s efforts to assist the development of the innovative fundamental technologies for satellites as stated in the Basic Plan on Space Policy of the Government of Japan.
We are pleased to announce that another demonstration theme described below has been selected to this program.
Please see Appendix for the updated list of demonstration themes, including the new additional theme, which will be loaded in the Innovative Satellite Technology Demonstration-3.

We will proceed with preparations for the launch, such as the conclusion of necessary agreements, technological adjustment, and the safety reviews.

Details

1. New additional demonstration theme
